Youths should enlighten their social life through Gandhian philosophy: CM Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani categorically stated that the dream of setting-up ‘Ram Rajya’ in India envisaged by Mahatma Gandhi should not be viewed in isolation term, but, it is necessary to view it as welfare for all with development for all with social equality.

    The Chief Minister was speaking at a concluding function organized to mark 150 km long padyatra taken out as a part celebration of 150th Gandhi Jayanti in the presence of Union Minister of state Mr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya at Lokbharati Sanosara in Bhavnagar district.

    Mr. Rupani confidently expressed that Gandhian philosophy will inspire the youths of future generations to transform “Self-Rule” into “Good Governance”.

    He also pointed out that as a part of celebration of 150th Gandhi Jayanti Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi had given befitting honour and respect to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by installing his giant statue “Statue of Unity”, development of five places connected with life of Dr. Ambedkar, and giving identity of Cellular Jail to Jail of Andaman.

    Mr. Rupani also pointed out that to celebrate 150th Gandhi Jayanti the state government has organized several welfare programmes for poor, deprived, and downtrodden along with ‘Sawachhta Abhiyaan”. The “Gandhi Nirvana Din” will be organized at Dandi on January 30.

    Meanwhile, Mr. Modi had made video address from Delhi. He pointed out that after the independence the emotion of dutifulness has been replaced by the emotion of privileges. In fact, the real growth can be achieved through balanced used of both wheels – dutifulness and privileges. Missing one of them would generate experience of incompleteness, he added.

    For the rapid growth of country, besides Gandhiji, the feelings of dedication and sacrifices expressed by Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and other freedom fighters should be awaken now in every citizens of India, Mr. Modi further stated.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mandaviya said that Gandhiji had not won freedom for India but his social values and virtues were accepted by the world. The joining of 150 youths with me in this padyatra has proven that Gandhian philosophy is still living the minds of youths.

    In total, 20,000 youths had made registration for this Yatra and 12,000 youths had joined me, he added.

    Others who spoke included MLA Jitubhai Vaghani. The event was also graced by Bhavnagar Mayor Mr. Manharbhai Mori, MPs – Mrs. Bharatiben Shiyal and Darshnaben Jardosh, MLAs – Mr. Rushikesh Patel, Mr. R. C. Makwana, Mr. Keshubhai Nakrani, and Mr. Bhikhabhai Baraiya, former union minister Dr. Vallabhbhai Katheeriya, and others.
