Gujarat Chief Minister meets Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani in New Delhi

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today discussed six railway important projects for Gujarat with Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani during his meeting with corporate heads in New Delhi as part of the state government’s preparation for biennial flagship event Vibrant Global Summit-2019.

Mr. Rupani said they decided to build a railway station at Kevadia Colony near the site of Sardar Patel’s huge Statue of Unity on the Narmada River. A railway line to link Kevadia Colony with the railway network will also be laid, fast.

Other railway projects discussed between them include early completion of Bullet Train, DMIC, land and building for India’s first Railway University at Vadodara, and the Capital Railway Station at Gandhinagar under the Garud Yojna and Five Star Hotel atop railway platforms by 2019.

Those present during the discussion include Gujarat’s Chief Secretary J.N. Singh, Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan, Principal Secretary M.K. Das, and senior Secretaries of departments concerned like industries, tourism, Dholera SIR, etc.
