65,431 proposed employment opportunities will be created

Gandhinagar, Monday: The state government has taken another step in realizing the call of ‘Self-reliant India’ given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel by creating a self-reliant Gujarat with the MoU for investment.
With the commitment to build a Aatmanirbhar India from Aatmanirbhar Gujarat, the state government announced “The Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes for Assistance to Industries” under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in October-2022 is making an important contribution.
This scheme is a program of signing MoUs between various industrialists and the state government on the first day of every week i.e. Monday to start the industry in different places of the state.
Under the direction of CM, the six phases of this undertaking are dated. 13/02/2023 to 27/03/2023 have been completed and a total of 59 MoUs have been signed. As a result, a total investment of Rs 90,665 crore has been attracted in Gujarat.
Not only this, With the start of these industries employment will be provided to 65,431 people. In the sectors where MoUs have been signed so far, 40 thousand employment opportunities will be available in the chemical sector, 6 thousand in the engineering sector and 5 thousand in the renewable energy sector.
Giving further momentum to “The Atmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes for Assistants to Industries”, various industrialists signed 3 MoUs in a single day on Monday March 27th, in the presence of CM and Industries Minister Mr. Balwantsinh Rajput. The MoUs which were signed will lead to a proposed investment of 11,291 crore and will create around 10,600 potential jobs.
These multiple MoUs will see investments in the pharmaceuticals and soda ash industries. Among the industries that signed the MoU, two Indian companies and a Japanese company have shown interest in setting up their own manufacturing units at Nakhatrana, Walia and Sanand.
Other countries including Germany, USA, UK, Kuwait, Malaysia have also signed MoUs for setting up industries in the state under this “Atmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes for Assistance to Industries”.
Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Shri. Kamal Dayani signed the MoU on behalf of the state government. The industrialists and state government exchanged this MoU in presence of the CM and Ministers.
Chief Secretary Shri. Rajkumar, Industries Commissioner Shri. Rahul Gupta and MD of Index-B. Smt. Mamta Hirpara and senior officers were also present on this occasion.
