CM inaugurates & dedicates development works of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation worth Rs. 274 Cr.

    Gandhinagar, Wednesday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani dedicated various developmental works operated by Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation worth Rs. 274 crores at Bhavnagar and said that work of Gogha-Dahej ferry services is going to be finished within nearer future. This work will be completed with a cost of Rs. 615 crore and our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will dedicate the project within short period. With beginning of Ghogha-Dahej Ro-Ro Ferry Service Bhavnagar will become entrance of development of Saurashtra. Expenditure worth Rs. 15000 crore will be occurred to provide water facilities for districts belongs to Saurashtra region under SAUNI yojana.

    With receiving permission from the Union Government to put gates on Narmada Dam, it will fill with three times water quantity. As a result potable and water for irrigation across Gujarat will made available and with availability of water for irrigation Saurashtra district will became prosper.

    Mr. Rupani dedicated 1506 Housing built at a cost of Rs. 91 crore, State Government has planned to built housing for 2.5 lakh rural and 5 lakh for urban people. He also dedicated 2548 houses built at a cost of Rs. 150 Crore and sewage terminal built at a cost of Rs. 21 Crore. Mr. Rupani also visited terminal being prepared at Ghogha-Dahej. Due to Ghogha-Dahej ferry project the distance of 370 Km will be reduced to 31 Km through sea route. He also dedicated the wi-fi facility in the Bhavnagar girl’s college. He said that the project has proved to be a lifeline for the regions of Saurashtra since it has provided them with potable and irrigation water. The poor and the middle class will be able to afford houses at cost effective prices due to an increase in high-rise flats in cities. Government is working to ensure the provision of employment in the days to come.

    Union Minister of State Mr. Mansukh Mandviya announced that the dream of the Hon’ble PM will soon come true for the Ghogha-Dahej ferry service. There will be a development in the industrial sector as well due to the influence of the coast, he added. Bhavnagar MLA Mr. Jitubhai Vaghani said that the work related to the Ghogha-Dahej ferry service is 90% complete and the SAUNI Yojana has proved to be a life turning one for the areas of Bhavnagar and Saurashtra. Bhavnagar Mayor Mrs. Nimuben Baambhaniya announced that Mr. Rupani has made the dreams of the poor come true by dedicating 1506 houses to them.

    On this occasion, Minister of Civil Aviation Mr. Jashabhai Barad, Bhavnagar MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Vibhavariben Dave, Bhavnagar MP Dr. Bhartiben Shiyal, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Manoj Kothari, District Collector Mr. Harshad Patel and DDO Mr. Ayush Oak and various other members and officials of the Municiapal Corporation were remained present.
