Governor-CM takes salute from parade at riverfront

As a part to celebrate Gujarat Gaurav Divas today a grand parade was organized in riverfront of Ahmedabad. Gujarat Governor Mr. O. P. Kohli took salute from the parade in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel and state cabinet ministers.

In his address on the occasion to celebrate Gujarat Formation Day, Mr. Rupani said that it is the day of pride for people of Gujarat. Today we are celebrating state-level formation day at Ahmedabad, while works worth Rs. 1600 crore of laying foundation stone and dedicate to people have been performed in the district. Moreover, programmes on patriotism and entertainment also have been organized. People have enthusiastically participated in the celebration and the function became the festival of people. He appreciated the workmanship of security persons after observing the parade and said that today is the day of self-esteem for people of Gujarat.

The parade was organized by the district administration. Platoons of Gujarat such as various platoons from SRP, women platoon have participated and won heart of people present there. Various folk dances were also performed by artists to present the art culture of Gujarat. Scenes of Gujarat’s culture were displayed while dignity of Gujarat, folk dances and traditional dressings were presented on the stage.

On the occasion, children from district primary school have won heart of people by giving salute through band. State Cabinet Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, District Collector Ms. Avantika Singh and people in huge number were remained present.
