Gujarat CM hands-over houses to poor families at Nikol & Kathwada in Ahmedabad

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani has handed-over houses to poor families at Nikol and Kathwada and said that today 2900 families have been handed over houses. Till now we have handed-over totally 5 lakh houses such as 3 lakh in urban and 2 lakh in rural areas of the state. As a result sun of happiness has risen in the lives of poor families, he added.

Each person has a dream to build his/her own home and for this purpose they have to use their whole capital of lives, while state government is committed to provide houses to poor, distressed and exploited families. It is our priority to look after each poor person of the state either for their home or for their job, he added.

Briefing about to provide employment to youth, CM Shri Rupani said that state government has given priority to provide employment to the youth for their all-round development. Recently we have given appointment of employment to 1.09 lakh youth in private sector by organizing mega job fair within eight days. We gave government jobs to 67000 youth within April 2017 as well. State government is also performing active role to provide jobs to 10 lakh youth in private sector, he added.

Along with child health-care, this government is also concerning about education of the children from poor families. Recently state government has taken a historic decision regarding fee control for the children of poor families not to be devoid of education. Many families will be benefitted. Like that we also initiated generic medicine centers across the state with a view to provide cheap and qualitative medicines to poor people. Till now 125 centers have been initiated and 500 more will be begun within June 2017 and the number will reach at 1000 within nearer future, he added.

After dedicating housing to people at Kathwada, CM Shri Rupani handed-over symbolic keys to the beneficiaries. On the occasion Former Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel, State Cabinet Ministers Shri Vallabhbhai Kakadiya, Dr. Nirmalaben Vadhwani, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Babubhai Patel, MPs Shri Kirit Solanki, Shri Devsinh Chauhan, MLA Shri Jagadish Panchal, Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Gautam Shah, AUDA Chairman Shri Bhupendra Patel, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Poonamchand Parmar, Municipal Commissioner Shri Mukesh Kumar, CEO Shri A. B. Gor along with government officials, office-bearers and people in huge number were remained present.
