    Gandhinagar, Wednesday: In Junagadh, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced the development works of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar districts worth Rs.4155.17 crore.

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi while addressing a large public meeting held at the Agricultural University in Junagadh said that the land of ‘Sinh’ and ‘Narsinh’ has the potential to become the capital of Junagadh tourism.

    The land of Gir has the power to attract people from all over the country. The Prime Minister expressed his happiness over the way the double engine government is doing development works in Gujarat at a fast pace and mentioned the various schemes implemented by the central and state governments to change the lives of fishermen along with the development of the coastal areas of Gujarat and presented a fruitful picture of the benefits to the human being at the end of the welfare schemes of the Center for the development of the entire coast. He thanked everyone for that.

    The Prime Minister clearly said that the budget of development works happening in Gir Somnath, Porbandar districts is more than once the budget of entire state. These three districts have the potential to become the tourism capital of the entire state. The whole world wants to hear the roar of the lions of Gir and that roar is the roar of Gujarat. The airport at Keshod will also be developed. There will also be work on enlarging the airstrip to see the lions of Girnar.

    The development of the big city is like giving the austerity land of Junagadh to the forest land of Girnar. I want to develop in the land of saints and knights, temples, Dattatreya, Jainacharyas and bring the people of the world here. Madhavpur has made Gheda Mela international. Constructing Asia’s largest rope-way allows mechanics to easily visit Amba. Gir’s Kesar mango exports have reached the entire world.

    The Prime Minister happily said that these districts situated by the sea have received the gift of development works in the field of self-employment opportunity for fishermen, cattle rearers, farmers before the festival of Diwali. While Gujarat has the country’s largest coastline of 1600 km, coastal highways and connectivity in the coastal area are developing in this area.

    Sagarkhedu Yojana has been started to make fishermen-sagarkhedu prosperous. Sagarkhedu has been provided with security-facility-business infrastructure. Export of fish in Gujarat has increased seven times in 20 years. Our Surmai Fish has become very popular in Japan. The dual engine of central and state government is meeting the Arabian Sea region. Drought and water problems in Saurashtra have become a thing of the past due to Sauni Yojana. Now Narmada has reached our courtyard and after 2001 nature has also been kind and rained. Due to which the fields of the farmers have become greener, richer. Farmers across the state, including Junagadh district, are turning to organic farming.

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the government is committed to ensure that women can live with dignity. Construction of toilets have prevented health related problems and have become a blessing for women. He congratulated the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for the Ujjwala scheme to free women from smoke and its excellent implementation. Through PradhanMantri Matru Vandana Yojana for women, the government has also though about of women and her child during pregnancy. During pregnancy, the nutrients in the mother’s body are not reduced and the child is not handicapped, the child is born healthy, India’s future is bright. Mudra Yojana provides loans without guarantee, more than 70 percent of which have been availed by women, so that the women have become self-reliant by getting employment.

    The buzz of Digital India, Make India is ringing across India. The Prime Minister said that the Gujarat government has achieved development in various fields. Gujarat is constantly scaling the peaks of progress. He congratulated Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for giving two bottles of gas free to the poor so that Diwali can be celebrated well in the homes of the poor.

    In Junagadh, the land of Rishi, Narsinh and Sinh, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel welcomed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and said that a new chapter in the development of the coastal area of Gujarat is about to begin. The development saga started by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which was suffering from consistent droughts earlier, received God’s grace and Gujarat has become developed today.

In the field of tourism, Porbandar sea area has been marked on the world map. More fishing ports will create growing fisheries and employment opportunities. Opportunities for economic upliftment have been opened in the state through the Sagarkhedu scheme.

    Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel said on this occasion that the development work done by Lokarshi, Rajarshi and popular leader Narendra Modi will take Saurashtra to new heights. Shri Narendra Modi gave Saurashtra a welfare scheme like Sauni Yojana through which today Gujarat has become green and prosperous. Be it the gift of the ropeway at Girnar, the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya or the annexation of Kashmir to India, the Prime Minister has completed many such monumental tasks and taken the country to new heights of progress.

    Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Cattle Breeding Shri Deva Malam said that the state has reached a new height in our double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. To boost tourism in Junagadh district, Narendra Modi has gifted a ropeway immediately after becoming the Prime Minister.

    MP Shri Rajesh Chudasma said that the golden sun has risen in the three districts of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar. Many development works in these districts have been announced by the Prime Minister. The ropeway over Girnar was built because of the Prime Minister. Young and old devotees can now have darshan of Amba. The central government has created the first state level office of the Coconut Development Board in this area so that this coastal area can benefit. A lot of assistance has also been given by the government for the development of ports.

    On this occasion, MLA and former Minister Shri Jawahar Chavda presented the experiences of rural life and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the country, public welfare has found new dimensions. At the same time, farmers have got a big relief due to good cloud cover this year.
